  • Brunch House 3340 West Southern Avenue Phoenix, AZ, 85041 United States (map)

Remember the movie 'Love Jones?' The poetry, the music, the beauty and soulfulness of it all?

We're bringing those vibes and more to South Phoenix with Black River Thursdays open mic – a celebration of African Diaspora music and culture.

Don’t miss our March 23 featured act TERI TOBIN! This powerhouse R&B songstress is critically-acclaimed around the globe for her releases Love Infinity and So Good To Me (Sōl 2 Kēp Entertainment), which spawned the radio single, “Free,” – a tribute to Donny Hathaway and #1 smash in the UK and the Netherlands. Teri’s gone on to release fan-favorite “Truth Is,” and her current single “Four Letter Word” is making its way up the UK soul charts.

She has been a staple performer for the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury and NBA’s Phoenix Suns, she’s shared stages and done background work with Patti LaBelle, Joe, Chico Debarge, Chante Moore and others; and her stellar work has earned her two Independent Music Awards and two SoulTracks.com Reader’s Choice Awards nominations. Teri’s highly anticipated fifth studio project “Forever” is due out in 2023.

Don’t miss TERI TOBIN backed by our house band IMPROMPTU AF, led by Prince Shaw. After the show, DJ SKOOL BOI will set the party off!
